GivingTuesdayMilitary

By virtue of the authority vested by the Constitution of Virginia in the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, there is hereby officially recognized:

WHEREAS, GivingTuesdayMilitary was established in 2019 and is observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving each year; and

WHEREAS, GivingTuesdayMilitary unites our military and civilian communities in performing intentional acts of kindness with a common goal of strengthening communities across Virginia; and

WHEREAS, community giving and intentional acts of kindness can create a ripple of change when we work together; and

WHEREAS, uniting individuals across Virginia creates a sense of belonging in their communities; and

WHEREAS, on this date, our military and civilian communities will come together to devote time, energy, and resources to supporting and recognizing those who selflessly serve our communities each day including our first responders, medical personnel, teachers, military, and all who serve our communities each day; and

WHEREAS, citizens are encouraged to unite to instill a heart for service toward others;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Glenn Youngkin, do hereby recognize November 28, 2023, as GIVINGTUESDAYMILITARY in the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, and I call this observance to the attention of all our citizens.
