2014 Women in Construction Week

WHEREAS, The Richmond Chapter 141, Greater Tidewater 137, and Roanoke Valley 226 have distinguished themselves as major voices of women in construction in Virginia; and

WHEREAS, the work done by the Richmond Chapter 141, Greater Tidewater 137, and Roanoke Valley 226 have benefitted Virginia through community development and educational programs; and

WHEREAS, the Richmond Chapter 141, Greater Tidewater 137, and Roanoke Valley 226 have unceasingly promoted the employment and advancement of women in the construction industry; and

WHEREAS, the construction community, represented by Richmond Chapter 141, Greater Tidewater 137, and Roanoke Valley 226 have been driving forces in fostering community development through renovation and beautification projects, promotion of skilled trades careers, and a positive vision of the future; and

WHEREAS, the Richmond Chapter 141, Greater Tidewater 137, and Roanoke Valley 226 have sought to achieve successful results for the Commonwealth of Virginia, in a cooperative spirit with other organizations;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Terence R. McAuliffe, do hereby recognize March 2-9, 2014, as WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION WEEK in the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, and I call this observance to the attention of all our citizens.
