Welcome to the Executive Branch Ethics Commission
The Executive Branch Ethics Commission was formed in accordance with Executive Order Number 2, which was issued by Governor McAuliffe on January 12, 2014.
Executive Order Number Two was issued by Governor McAuliffe on the first day of his administration to ensure that Virginians are governed and represented with integrity. It established an ethical framework and personnel directive for Executive Branch officers and employees. It also initiated an Executive Branch Ethics Commission. The Commission will respond to individual Executive Branch officer and employee requests for guidance regarding their compliance with the Executive Order.
If you are an Executive Branch officer or employee and have a question addressing the potential or actual receipt of gifts and activities that may result in, or create an appearance of, impropriety, please send your question(s) to the Executive Branch Ethics Commission at firstname.lastname@example.org.
